Foil Elements were introduced during the 1960s and took over as the standard dewatering elements at machine speeds where table rolls could no longer be used. A foil elements consists of a stationary blade fitted below the wire, the upper side of which forms a small expansion angle with the wire, generating an under pressure. However, by choosing a small enough angle ,sometimes below one degree, a suitable suction pressure can be generated even at high wire speed. The accurate angle plays a great role during the dewatering process.
The dewatering elements used in paper machines include dewatering board (or wiper board), forming board and vacuum suction tank panel. The pulp is leveled through the forming board, and a small part of water is removed at the same time. Then it enters the dehydration plate to scrape off the moisture, and finally enters the vacuum suction tank panel for forced dehydration by vacuum.
1. Forming board: The forming board is the first element under the net of the chest roller of the paper machine, which plays the role of water removal to support the net and control the net section. The box is made of stainless steel, the substrate is super high molecular polyethylene or glass fiber reinforced plastic, and the panel is inlaid with ceramic
2. Scraper Blades: Scraper Blades of various widths and forms are available to suit different requirements. Wiper plates are made of ceramic in various forms, with a 0-3 degree rear Angle. The transition bottom plate adopts the modern special treatment material FRP composite material, one - time molding. No processing, no deformation, accurate size, easy to paste.
3. Vacuum suction box: It is a kind of device that uses the high pressure difference inside and outside the box to enhance dehydration. The dryness of the wet paper is about 2 ~ 3% before passing through the vacuum box, and it can reach 10 ~ 14% after passing through the vacuum box, and the paper tightness is also increased.
